Soundz! allows you to change the recording method used by the "sound" Control-Panel. Rather than using the factory, "best" setting, which produces very large, 10 second sounds, you can now select one of the following :
* Good - 6:1 compression ratio; 60 seconds of recording
time.
* Better - 3:1 compression ratio; 30 seconds of recording
time.
* Best - No compression used; 10 seconds of recording
time.
Note : When using the "good" setting, the "sound" cdev will not display the correct number of seconds available. This is because of a bug in the cdev, which causes the number to "roll over" back to 00.
System Requirements :
A macintosh using the Apple built-in microphone jack.
This program is FREEWARE. Please enjoy it, and pass it along to anyone you know with a Macintosh who likes to use their built-in mike, and hates to piece together 10 second sound exerpts.
